Dumbass are an artistic duo who work in many different media, but mostly, we make music. We have been doing so for a very long time now. The history of Dumbass as a musical project can be divided up into two basic periods: The first –1994 to 2000– was when Zeke Mason founded and led a band called Dumbass, which had many different members. In 2000 Fixer joined this band, and Dumbass quickly evolved into a duo — Fixer & Zeke Mason– and became a deep artistic partnership that has lasted now for over 2 decades.
Dumbass use music to explore ideas. We create what are generally referred to as “concept albums.” But we see them more as the result of philosophical and artistic explorations, the results of which, we convey with sound.
